When I was selling alarms or ADT I was not able to close any sales, so what I decided to do was copy my Manager whos name was Henry Ford, I looked up to him in sales. He had this awesome story of how one of his friends did not have a smoke alarm. (Summary of story: Home owner had a dog that he left on a trip, there was a smoke in the house and there was no notification system, there was no system to notify the authorities. The dog died in the smoke) It is a very emotional story . He told the story using emotion and it really got me feeling sad. The thing is you do not have to have any clients or sales. You can use other peoples stories to sell services. I started using his story every time I found a home that had a dog. I’d tell them the story in great detail. Use my stories, make them simple and tell them to business owners!
